Curious, did you get the OCD diagnosis before the ADHD? Same doctor? Second opinion?

different doctors but the OCD first. After medicating my OCD and things didn’t get better I looked into it more and found a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with ADHD.

I got diagnosed with both at the same time however my current psychiatrist doesn't believe the ADHD diagnosis despite every other health professional I see agreeing with it. My symptoms very much started for both as a 2 year old. I was the kid who never stopped, never shut up and whose brain went 50 million mph and never ever stopped (nothing has changed). I was also the 2 year old who had ritualistic self harm to self soothe so yeah. I think both now manifest in a similar way and rather than being outwardly ADHD it is often just what goes on in my head that makes the doctors think I have it. My OCD is also more thought based than through actions.
