Living with RA: My Story

hi alikes, I'm new on here. I began showing my RA symptoms at 17. I'm 36 now. I have a husband, 2 boys and a bunch of animals. I've been unable to work most of my adult life. my case is advanced and atypical. this disease runs heavily in my family; autoimmune disorders in general run in the family. I was in remission until the pandemic hit. my doctor took me off some of my medications so I'd be stronger if I got COVID. even though I'm back on my meds, I'm struggling with swelling and pain again. I'm feeling pretty down these days. I'm an avid crafter and not being able to use my hands specifically is bumming me out.

I can relate so much 😥. I loved playing guitar and RA just made it impossible for me. The pain is not as bad as it used to be, it’s just the fine motor skills that i can’t handle anymore
