Living with Retinitis Pigmentosa: Coping with Everyday Challenges

Hi everyone! I was diagnosed about 6 years ago with Usher 3A, a genetic disease which causes degenerative hearing and vision loss (retinitis Pigmentosa). Is anyone else experiencing RP and understands that they will be almost completely blind in a matter of time? How do you cope with everyday challenges?

I was diagnosed with RP when I was 8 (now 30) & it’s scary seeing your vision deteriorating right in front of you. Honestly I’m just glad I still have some central vision left as it was predicted I’d lose all my vision before I turned 30. Wish I had some advice for you but it’s a struggle, hang in there!
