I'm doing okay. I used to be schizo-affective but my bipolar and depression went into remission long ago. Now I just have schizophrenia. Some of my bipolar traits stayed, it's enough to get a diagnosis from overzealous psychiatrists, but if they sit down and give me a full test I don't have it.

It's nice to meet you Dustmann. Thanks for sharing. 🙂 What's your biggest struggle with schizophrenia?

Definitely avolition. The lack of motivation and drive. Many haven't heard of the term, but this symptom effects me more than psychosis. There are pills for psychosis, but there's pretty much nothing for avolition. My current med Latuda gives me almost total silence, but I struggle with avolition. It's very pervasive.

I've never heard of avolition. I know all about lack of motivation and drive. Sometimes it's hard just to get up or eat or get thru the day. I wonder what the point is. But maybe that part is something else...?

I know the feeling. It really sucks. How do you handle it?
