Looking for experiences with Lyrica for fibro nerve pain

Please share your experience with Lyrica. I've been on gabapentin for years but it's being recommended that I try switching for my fibro nerve pain.

I'm curious as well. I was looking into the differences between gabapentin and pregabalin, apparently pregabalin has off-label use for anxiety so I am really curious about if it could be a two-for-one med.

I've noticed with both gabapentin and pregabalin that I become very prone to sensory overload. Too many loud noises, people talking at once, or even grocery shopping, is enough to leave me disoriented and exhausted. I take 150mg of pregabalin 2x daily, and while it doesn't take the pain away, it takes the edge off. Not today though.

My body kept adapting and needing a higher dose of gabapentin, so I switched to lyrica. I adapted and needed a higher dose. A doctor had me taper off to judge whether there was any benefit anymore. I didn't get worse once off it, so neither were helping anymore. I've heard good things about hemp cbd, it wasn't effective for me. I use a 2:1 cbd thc hybrid and a touch of 1:2 cbd thc sativa for bad flareups and it helps me greatly. (Just like with narcotics, less is sometimes more and getting to an actual high is counterproductive)

I’ve been on Lyrica for over five years. It has changed my life. It is the only medication out of 14 years of having fibromyalgia that has worked in the slightest bit with the least side effects.

Gabapentin never worked for me. Magnesium has been amazing though.
