Fidgeting is my problem, just giving your hands something to do, depending where you are you could sew a simple design or something easy or whatever, just because it does take a little precision and gives your mind something to do. Walking, drawing, doing physical things really helps. Talking, or engaging with the environment can help. Breathing is key though.

For me I've been practicing completely removing myself from the environment. Work meeting getting heated between coworkers? I get up and walk out (I have told my boss about my anxiety, so she understands when I just get up and leave). Too many people in a space for me to handle? Forget it, I'm leaving the store. Random people being too loud? I leave. Parents fighting? I leave their house. If I can't remove myself from the environment, I try to organize my thoughts and priorities. Walking my dog and listening to podcasts helps for me. Or even just a 20 minute workout also does me good. I try my best to be in the moment and less focused on possible future outcomes, cuz 99% of the time, my brain formulates the worst possible outcomes. And drink lots of water, as silly as that sounds. Remember, you can only control what you can control. Having anxiety about things out of your control is natural, but try to remind yourself that whatever's gonna happen, is gonna happen. And you have the strength to handle that! I hope you are okay and find ways to help you in those situations. You deserve peace. Breathe, be in the moment, and remove yourself if necessary for your health and safety. Even if it's just for a little bit. You got this!💕
