Managing Chronic Illness and Work: Any Tips?

Any tips on managing chronic illness and work? 🙏 I have often been reduced to working part-time to meet my medical appointments. I am currently looking for a new job, and I am not sure how to make it work. For specifics, I am 24 female in AUSTRALIA, and my recent work experience is within the construction industry, which isn't the most progressive industry.

Finding a career or company that fits your needs. It is a bit like dating when you’re chronic but finding a place that works with your body and your brain and gives you the type of work you need is, in my opinion, the most important and valuable thing.

For example my ADHD, seizures and weakness in my legs are the key things I had to look for in a job. I was able to find a job teaching that allowed me to work at my own pace, sit down or stand essentially when ever I need and because it’s a special needs school everyone is very comfortable with seizures so if I have one they know what kind of help is required. Also with everything else I can make changes to my schedule if needed so I can have specific days of the week off for doctor’s appointments because I have to go to so many or not work after a certain time so that my body doesn’t suffer.
