Managing Heart Palpitations: Seeking Advice

So I have had palpitations for a number of years. It is managed by propranolol but I still get them when I am asleep. I usually feel them when I wake up. I also have them if I accidentally have caffeine or if I drink alcohol. I’ve been told they are benign however I have had episodes of atrial fibrillation where my heart races at 160/70. This has come down within hours and I have never had to have any treatment to stop it but it still worries me that I might have a heart attack. Does anyone else feel this way.

I also have palpitations often with my AVNRT & WPW. I try to avoid caffeine & alcohol at all costs. It’s so odd that I normally feel them when laying down & right before bed. With tachycardia, my heart always seems to race before bed as well.

I often wake with them. Feels like adrenaline in my stomach with heart racing. I find alcohol and caffeine a trigger x
