I went 100% off gluten. This was the best health decision I ever made it as far as my IBS goes. I would say my IBS is 80% better strictly by going off gluten. You have to make sure to read all your food labels as gluten can hide and a lot of things.

My advise is try everything, but not all at once. Try eliminating gluten (that helped me for several years before things got worse) then try eliminating dairy, or soy, or eggs, etc. The FODMAP diet did not work for me but works for many people, try that too, again, as it’s own trial. Medications never did anything for me and I’ve tried them all! Also have tried digestive enzymes, high quality ones too, but no results. But try them, they might work for you! Everyone is different. But the more you try the more you know and understand about your symptoms and the better you can manage them. I am by no means a high functioning human due to my IBS but I’ve decided to not let it control my life if I can help it. Doing things you enjoy and almost distracting yourself from the symptoms can be therapuetic in its own way, if the symptoms are not debilitating at the time
