Managing Irritability and Rage with BPD

How do you all manage the irritability and rage that can come with having borderline personality disorder? I feel like if I could control my anger my quality of life would improve so much, but it's quite difficult.

could you reach out and try anger management therapy? otherwise, there are ways to handle your emotions!! like walking away when you feel frustrated with a situation, trying to keep your yelling to a minimum, being able to spot when you're getting riled up so you can do something about it, etc.!

I also recommend being mindful about situations and the choices you have in them! when someone makes you mad, or something really irritating happens, tell yourself this: If I stay in this situation, I will only be more mad. This is not a big enough issue to keep dwelling on, which will only make things worse. I have a choice to back away from the situation, or keep going despite the consequences.

Haloperidol 5mg 2x per day and 10mg at night. It has been amazing. That and I am trying to learn how to stop, think, and take timeouts. As a matter of fact, I like timeouts. I hate when I lose it and say mean things. I am not perfect.
