Managing UC: Tips and Tricks

When I wasn’t on meds it was tough like anything bothered my stomach I usually sucked on peppermints , Zofran and emtrol to help with nausea and kept an emergency kit in my Purse

Don’t go off of “regulators” (I take mesalamine) unless your doctor is sure you’re healthy enough. I went off my medication for a few months while in remission and then got a huge flare up. For me, flare ups are triggered by stress, so I take anxiety medication when necessary and have been going to therapy

I take mesalamine but my diet helps me a lot it’s just really hard sticking to it. Less sugar helps and bland foods
