i used to smoke but i had an unhealthy relationship with weed and it wasn't good for me. i think that it can be very helpful but sometimes it can make things worse depending on you

I do smoke every once in a while, it helps like 50% of the time for me, and it makes me feel really good. The other times though I do tend to get anxious and really twitchy.

I don’t smoke because it makes my POTS symptoms worse but edibles work well for me! I have to do low doses though, about 2.5 mg helps me mellow out and I can get to sleep without ruminating thoughts + anxiety

I use a sativa strain. I find indica makes me feel more depressed. Sometimes I do a hybrid. Helps me get out of my own head for awhile

i don't have a card because it's not legal where i live, but i smoke daily in the place of psych meds i used to be on. it helps me a lot and the side effects are nonexistent for me personally even though i was diagnosed with a psychotic disorder. it's definitely not for everyone though

Yes! I would start with CBD bc I think most people could benefit from trying that. Helps with my anxiety and chronic pain. For some people the THC component helps, for some it doesn’t, and for some it makes it worse. It’s the sort of thing where you’d likely have to try it to know how you react. Just like meds, works for some but not all. Works for me.

I used to smoke all day every day. Now I can only smoke when I’m with my significant other or I get very nervous. If it’s helping you then I would definitely apply for a medical card!

I've contemplated trying gummies or edibles for PTSD but I have quite a few psychiatric medications and idk how they might interfere with them.

Hi friend! I want to be completely transparent in my post because I do smoke. I used to have a MMJ card for my PTSD, but because my state has legalized it, I stopped getting the card. Really, the card is helpful if you’re trying to get a small discount on your marijuana purchases (often, about 10%). However, there is a fee that you have to pay every year (mine was around $165) and you do have to see the marijuana-prescriber yearly to be re-evaluated. For PTSD alone, I’ve heard it can be really helpful. While its medicated feeling also brings some assistance, it focuses your breathing from being small and rapid to needing big, full breaths (if you use a smoking format). HOWEVER, if you have additional mental illnesses, it can be dangerous; for example, if you have any form of paranoia, personality/borderline-personality and/or anxiety disorder(s), you CAN develop psychosis while on it and it’s more likely that you can develop an addiction. Remember, overall, it is a mood-enhancement substance. Use with caution! Hope this helped! 💛
