Questions about recent medication change, need advice

Haven't been active on here for a while, I wanted to ask some questions about a recent change. Just yesterday I spoke with my psychiatrist and my sertraline (zoloft) medication went up from 50 mg to 75 mg. I've been feeling really depressed and with my uni starting my anxiety has gotten worse. I was kind of hesitant about taking it this morning but is there anything I need to know? I'm kind of scared of my side effects intensifying so could I go lower if it gets worse? Please let me know.
