lexapro. i took it for about a month or two and there was honestly no change.. i'm on prozac/fluoxetine now and there's a big difference. genuinely life changing. i've struggled with depression most of my life, and to this day i still do, however it's significantly less.

Prozac saved my life. I have been on it for the better part of 10 years, with a few med changes in between. Lexapro and Paxil made me feel horrible. Paxil was the worst.

I've had Lexapro and Prozac before. Prozac made it easier to smile and Lexapro made it hard to sleep

Lexapro was horrible it made my symptoms much worse and just overall made me feel like garbage. Now on the other hand Prozac is the best for me. It has honestly saved my life. The only down side to Prozac for me is that I feel little to no emotion when I take it. 👍 I couldn’t go on Zoloft because I threw up every day I took it.

same here, prozac definitively makes me feel numb (?) but i very much prefer it to lexapro.

Medications effect everyone so differently. I’d recommend doing a genetic test for symptoms. I had a bad reaction to Prozac (hallucinations), Zoloft (burning pain in body, among other things), and they both tested as ones to avoid. I’m not on Effexor (which I tested as being better able to adjust to) and so far only have nausea when switching over to the dose which went away after a couple weeks. They also said I’m low on folic acid which apparently taking a supplement for can help antidepressants be more effective so your brain processes it better so I’ve been on that for a few weeks too. Definitely think I’m on the right medicine at the moment but will need to up the dosage soon so hopefully no annoying side effects when I do that.

prozac made me suicidal but like × 50, seroquel turned me into a fucking zombie, lithium poisoned me, what has worked, prazosin definitely, buspirone, olanzepine to an extent
