I was very anxious about starting too. I took the leap and I've been on cimzia for about 4 months. My pain was completely gone the day after my first injection and didnt come back this entire time. Everyone's experience is different but I have been very lucky. I cant imagine living without it now and glad I did it. I think its important to weigh up whether the benefits outweigh the risks. My life was badly impacted...very tired, barely getting sleep, in significant pain so for me it was worth the risk to have a better quality of life. My tip would be to find a good rheumatologist that is available to you if you do have any side effects or concerns...I shopped around until I found someone that actually cared!

I know it’s different for everyone, but for the record I was very nervous about starting it but ended up having no side effects! I’m 19 also. It was a huge improvement from my past medication that caused awful side affects. The auto injector is also easy. I hope it goes well for you!
