I do. Sometimes it's necessary. But it's work finding one that the benefits outweigh the side effects.

this is so true. I spent two years trying to find a medication that worked and I felt like even then I was sort of settling for the antidepressant that wasn't as bad as the rest. And I found a medication that worked for my anxiety a little too but moved states and now I don't have a mental health care doctor.

I am in a love hate relationship with my meds. On one hand some help on the other some are not working as they should. Now I am on so many that I dread med time. But living without them is a nightmare too. I am looking into other alternatives to meds at the moment.

I cant function at all without my meds, once I had them I've found out how much i was suffering. But as much as I hold onto mine with an iron grip, I know people that feel worse ON meds. My choice is to basically live on meds. That doesn't mean I recommend everyone take meds. Do what makes you feel best and live your life to the fullest.

I was diagnosed in my mid teens so.i went through my rebellious stages when I stopped my meds. I'd also get annoyed that I was like a medical pin cushion at points and got frustrated that nothing would work but in my case I absolutely need medication.

I have crippling emotional anxiety on a daily basis. But I've never wanted to turn to medication, because I don't want to become dependent on a substance to get me thru the rest of my life. Then, medication has been proven not to cure any condition, it simply temporarily numbs the symptoms, instead of tackling the root cause of the issue at hand. I won't accept this condition, and to me medication is a form of permanent acceptance when it comes to disorders. The answers lie in one's spirit
