Memory Loss and Depression on Lamictal: Should I Increase My Dose?

8 months on lamictal and I’m starting to feel the memory loss. It’s really annoying. I uses to remember everything and now I struggle with a lot of small things. I’ve also gotten really depressed within the last month. Wondering if I should up my dose or switch completely

Dang, I have heard that before about the memory but idk if there's a consensus I've seen on whether higher/lower doses effect that more. What dose are you on? I was more forgetful when I was on 100 but I just switched to 200 and I feel like my memory has improved. I'd say since you've been on it so long, try the dose increase before just switching all together. You've already come a long way in building up the levels in your body/brain and so it'd be best to give the dose increase a shot so then you can know for sure if switching would be better.

Wait, is a side effect of lamictal memory loss? I've been on it for three years, i attributed my disconnect from memory to brain fog and a couple other things, but is this a known effect?
