Struggling with Mental Health and Pills

hey, I have a physical condition where I cannot take pills very well. I would take them and throw them up an hour later. so i was wondering if anybody knows what I can do with my mental health if I can't take anti-depressants? I have many mental health issues; depression, anxiety, adhd, insomnia, and depersonalization. it's becoming hard to handle but I don't want to take medication again. I am looking for help on healthy ways to cope.

Oh! I forgot to mention, I also wear a binder for my Gender dysphoria, and feel bad when i don't wear it, so things like "going on a run" wouldn't be so helpful to me, considering I can't do it. Exercise is also something I can't do, so any alternatives not including that would be nice.

Have you tried dissolvable pills or chewable pills for it? I’m not sure if any psych meds come like that but you wouldn’t be swallowing a whole pill or anything with the dissolvable ones really. Also if your psych is willing to try it, some psych meds are injectable, mostly long term injectable too so it’d be at least a few weeks between shots its not something you’d have to do everyday.

dissolvables, chewables, you can also open the capsule and pour the powder into applesauce or pudding, crush your pills and do the same. there are a lot of options and possibilities. I also saw your comment about binding getting in the way of exercising, and wanted to suggest sports tops. they work well for compression and are made for exercise so it would be a safe alternative for that! (also make sure you are only wearing for 8 hours at most at a time, take 3 hour breaks at the least between each 8 hour wear, and try to have 1-2 break days during the week, usually ones where you are home. stay safe please! your mental health and physical health must coexist.)

If liquid or splitting capsules isn't an option for medication, I used to take pills with peanut butter, pudding can work well too. But you can usually just look up coping skills lists and try something from them

If you just don’t want to do meds at all, I’m not too experienced with non-medication treatments, but i have a few suggestions that might make it easier. I for depression and anxiety, i cannot recommend therapy enough. Therapy has saved my life, and I have come so far that I think I’m happier, more productive, and maybe even more stable than most people my age. It can take some trial and error to find the right therapist, and you have to be willing to put in the work, but it is SO worth it imo. Im sure you know about self care, but it might help a little more if you pay attention to what helps you specifically feel better rather than some preset like “take a bath” or some shit. If you don’t ever feel better, try looking up lists of self care suggestions and try as many as possible. A lot of them might not work for you, but i’m sure at least a few will. I have more tips if you want me to keep going lmao. My my biggest adhd coping mechanism is making notes. Sooo many notes, lists, reminders, and alarms. I have notes scattered around my apartment (ex. A reminder on the wall near the front door to lock it, a sticky note in the bathroom reminding me what I need to do to get ready in which order, etc.) if you need to read long documents I recommend getting a text to speech program (theres a free plugin in google chrome for online documents or pdfs). I don’t absorb the info completely, but I at least manage to get to the end 😅
