Has anyone had success with Methadone for Small Fiber Neurapathy?

Just started Methadone for Small Fiber Neurapathy after failing all other treatments. So far no bad side effects and no change in pain. Has anyone else taken this medication with any benefit? TIA

I take Methadone regularly for bone and muscle pain. So, I don't think I could help a whole lot, but with time it starts to get better. Its the type of medicine that needs to be built up to have a good effect. If it doesn't do enough help, see if you can take something else alongside it.

I was taking 2 a day and doing fine I guess it can suddenly just be like BAM and you’re falling asleep standing up, or falling asleep while brushing your teeth. It was terrifying. I’m finally to the point I am mostly in control of my alertness, by going down on what I take and I’m getting off it for a new drug Nucynta. That apparently is very helpful. Hope you have a great evening thanks for reaching out
