Anyone that gets migraines with barometric pressure/ weather changes: what do you do when you know you’ll get a migraine because of inclement weather? It feels like I can’t do anything to help with this trigger.

Oi. This is a hard one. When I know I can’t avoid it, I make a very calm relaxing environment to make it as easy as possible.

I try to be preemptive- take Advil the night before, relaxing slow morning day of. Make sure I eat and take meds, etc

Mine come out of my neck so if I think of it I’ll have an iced gel pack around my shoulders at night to reduce inflammation there

For me it tends to affect my sinuses a lot with the barometric pressure so I tend to take some Mucinex to reduce the pressure to hopefully reduce the migraine before it comes. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

That’s a hard one to attempt to avoid, I try to stay away from any of my other triggers that I have, and get as much rest and water and nutrition as I can. If you have any preventative medication take it as soon as you feel the twinge coming on before it goes into a full blown one

My migraines are heavily triggered by weather changes. It’s hard to manage, but I try to take my meds before the pain starts. And giving myself face massages to drain my sinuses really give me releif. You can look it up online!
