I took mirtazapine at one point i think for sleep if im not mistaken but it knocked me out to the point i had an extremly hard time waking up and was always late to school and got in trouble for the first time. My psychiatrist at the time didnt care so i stopped taking it ad told her months later. I struggle with major anxiety and just started having panic attacks driving (the day before an accident) and they are letting me take Klonopin and even 0.25mg is helpful. Xanax works for my family members though but i think my psychiatrist rather put me on Klonopin since propranolol didn’t help so much. The best anxiety medication ive taken is Viibrid but they want to consider switching me to cymbalta but idk if that will help me in the way i need. Zoloft worked second best for me till it kinda stopped working several years later. Sorry this so long!

I was given viibryd last year but read side effects and ended up not taking it. Why do they want you to switch if it’s working?

Im actually not sure i think since my anxiety has been worse and my depression but Im going through some stuff in life right now so it makes sense medication wont help. I deff want a second opinion. I noticed a decent number of people here take it.

@perfectionist27 propranolol works for anxiety due to a thyroid disorder. Metaprolol is for those with all other anxiety by blocking the receptor that epinephrine sticks to (adrenaline). And it works pretty well,
