I had been given both to treat my array of problems most glaring my BPD. IT did not work for me it just makes me more irritable and getting less sleep than before. I was then switched to this cocktail and while it's not perfect it works wonders for me. I'm in effector, lamectal, Seroquel and trazadone. I'm not a doctor but that's what has worked for me.

Venlafaxine xr was sooo bad. Couldn't sleep, couldn't eat (felt like my blood sugar was high.), and became increasingly kms status. Took myself off cold turkey and messaged my doc. I was also dealing with skin nimbness and creepie crawlie fake itchiness at the same time (not knowing that was the issue so was also not having a good time, not related to the meds but nerve issues) Now not a diabetic but a parent is type 2 so im highly aware of my own low and high and the physical feelings that I get from them.
