Misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia for Months

After fighting to get treated and viewed correctly by my doctor, I finally have an answer other than fibromyalgia. I had a body bone scan done requested by myself to my insurance, and it came back with oestoarthritis in my feet, ankles, knees, hips, spine, neck, shoulders, and elbows. I just can’t believe how I would have gone untreated for months more without this. Please please listen to your body, you know when something is wrong. Now they are looking back on X-rays and seeing I was misdiagnosed. Now spine disease is a worry. Keep fighting for treatment because this could be your reality too.

Your story is definitely an inspiration and a lesson for all of us to listen to our body. I hope you'll feel better after receiving the appropriate treatment and that the late diagnosis won't cause any complications.

Wow! You are so right!! I'm sorry you went through all of that. Thank you for reminding us how important is to listen to ourselves and not to others, never mind if they are doctors, family or our loved ones. Stay strong 🙏
