Seeking Advice on MRD Testing During Chemo Treatment

Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with MRD testing during treatment? I'm about to start my third round of chemo and my doctor mentioned it might be an option to monitor my progress. Has anyone had this done? What was your experience like?

Hey there, Yeah, I've had MRD testing done during my treatment. My doctor used it to see if I was in complete remission or not.

I went in for MRD in 2017. The test showed I still had some cancer cells lingering, even after chemo.

For me I like to see my progress on treatment which is most likely why your doctor wants to do this.

Forgot to suggest you ask the doctor if the MRD (Minimal Residual Disease) testing will be via a blood test? If so they just add it onto your other blood work. If you are on a clinical trial this is another reason MRD testing is done. Hope this helps
