MS and Winter Storms: Does Anyone Else Experience Severe Muscle Pain?

Hello everyone! I am a 34 year old female diagnosed with MS 9 years ago in 2013. I live in the Northeast and we are currently under a winter storm warning…it was warm and rainy yesterday and now it’s transitioning to ice and snow. My question is - Does anyone else experience severe muscle pain when the weather fluctuates? My legs feel like they weigh 1000 pounds today and I hurt so much!

Can you help? Connect today

I have the opposite problem. I live in Las Vegas and summers can reach 115! Same effect.

JustBeachie - Heat is absolutely debilitating for me too! We had a ridiculously hot summer this past year and it was in the 80s most days. When the weather finally broke in the beginning of September I realized that I must have seasonal depression in the summer! I literally can’t go outside when it’s that hot so I spent my summer holed up inside and it was miserable

For me, All Weather affects me in someway. Winter, cold weather seems to do the worst to me. I will take summer over winter anytime. Cold weather, I get what I call my Frankenstein walk, my body stiffens up. Hot weather, I get what I call my zombie walk. Rain, it don’t matter what time of the year, rain just sends me off the rails and I stagger around like a drunk.

I think the bad weather affects my pain. Makes it worse.
