Yes, it does. I have different music for every mood. I really believe that music has the power to help express and heal

for the most part! sometimes it can make my moods worse when i’m not ready to process my feelings but for the most part it helps a lot. it was my only healthy coping mechanism in high school

100 %. My music also affects my moods. If I listen to upbeat music such as rap, I feel very hyper and good. If J listen to something such as music by Zevia, I get depressed. She sings about mental Illness.

I find that rock or metal music helps me out a ton, others might find that it increases their anxiety or bad emotions, but I think that it helps listening to songs that feel relatable to you. Like if I’m upset, I wanna listen to an angry sounding song because you feel less alone. The person that wrote that song is or was probably struggling too and it makes you feel connected in a weird way.

definitely agree I basically only listen to rock music and it saves me from so many difficult emotions.

I use music to help validate my emotions. I may cry, but I feel happier from doing so. The band Blue October is the best for this. (For me)

Yes it seems my mood and such can be effected by the music I listen to but sometimes the music can't change the mood but it relaxes me or allows me to feel for awhile
