My Experience with Behavioral Healthcare

I use Cerebral for my behavioral healthcare and had a prescriber change last week. She hadn’t read my chart and spent most of the appointment trying to figure out why I was on the medication regimen I’m on (which is in my chart) and then trying to talk me into dropping at least one of my medications, despite me saying in multiple different ways that I was happy. Ew. I was set up with a new prescriber and saw her on Thursday, what a difference!! I felt so seen 🥰 …even though she totally called me out, because I definitely have had panic attacks AND OCD symptoms but was like “nah, I don’t have those” 💀 I love her. It is so validating to tell a healthcare provider “I think I’m autistic” and have THEM further add to the list of reasons when you explain what you’ve noticed 🤣

I’m glad you found a doctor who is validating and helpful!! Too many doctors just don’t listen and it’s so gross..

omg that first prescriber was awful! I had my appointment in my bedroom over video call and my partner works from home so he could hear parts of it. Later he said it sounded like I spent most of the call justifying my medication regimen. Terrible!!!
