Nausea and other symptoms before bowel movement

Does anyone else suddenly feel really nauseous and unwell leading up to a bowel movement?? For some reason I get so many symptoms - I get headaches, I feel really hot, I get nauseous, dizzy, flushed, I sweat a lot - but all of it calms down after pooping. What causes this? Is it normal??? Side note: I have bad health anxiety and emetophobia; so is this something to do with those? Or is it an IBS thing? I’m very confused by it, it doesn’t seem logical to me. Please help 😅

Hi! Yes I would get like this. My emetophobia takes over before a bowel movement, if my hungry (empty) or if i have trapped wind. Those are my 3 main reasons.

I get all three of those too. Sometimes when I’m about to eat I’ll suddenly need to go because I’m thinking about it too much

I feel that way when I need to poop too. I think a little bad feeling is normal, but then our anxiety over being sick exacerbates the feelings. I also get sudden urgent needs to poop because of my ibs, so I think they go hand in hand.

This happens to me too! It's gotten to the point where going multiple times in a day really really stresses me out and can sometimes make me feel sick the whole day because I'm so anxious about it

wow that sounds so much like me! If I go several times in a day I worry that I’ve got a stomach bug or something so my anxiety makes everything worse
