Navigating a New Diagnosis: Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder and Adjacent Segment Disease

Hi all - I was diagnosed with hypermobile spectrum disorder about 15 years ago (I'm 41 by my former rheumatologist, who didn't think I should dig deeper into the hEDS realm. Now, as of 3 weeks ago, I have adjacent segment disease post-lumbar fusion, have developed scoliosis, and I've got vertebral marrow edema in my lumbar spine as well. No protocol til I have my follow-up with my surgeon on 9/19, so just looking for advice on how to navigate this new path...anyone else dealing with this combo?
