Nerve Endings Burnt: Anyone Else Experienced This?

Has anyone had nerve endings burnt? I don't remember the technical terminology for the procedure but basically they go in with a laser and burn the nerve endings that are causing pain.

I have had several rhizotomies done. Years ago when they first did it , it did help But this past year I’ve had two and unfortunately it didn’t help at all. That’s not to say it won’t work for you though.

I'm sorry the last one did not help you. That must have been disheartening after the first one did. Hugs

did you have to do "trial" lidocaine injections before the actual burning?

Great question! I'm thinking about doing it for both neck and low back. There are a few other things holding me back as well. 1: it's not permanent and will most likely need to be done again. 2: I'm being told that my insurance requires 2 trials, with positive results, before they will authorize the actual procedure. That means I have to go under anesthesia 8 times before insurance even considers it. 😔

it’s not the same stuff they do surgery with. It might take fifteen minutes and then your recovering. Have someone there to drive you home or they want do the procedure

If it works then it’s worth it. The insurance is crazy that way, the drs know so much more than the insurance companies but that’s just the way it is set up! Good luck with it!

I have had it done several times. I find it to be helpful. The first time was difficult for me because they found out I'm over sensitive but now I take a medication afterwards and do fine.

what area did you have done? How long does it last for you? It's been suggested that I do neck and low back. The neck is a slightly different technique, but same result.

I do every 9 months. It doesn't last as long as it's supposed to, but it's better than nothing.

Yes I just had two radeo frequencies done my neck. It does help. Worth getting. The back of neck will numb feeling afterwards the lower back isn’t as bad. Works good also. Cahaba pain in Hoover Alabama done mine
