New Laptop Purchase and Manic Episode Triggers

i’m a bit stuck right now. i’m in a mixed episode and i’ve needed a new laptop for a while. i’m afraid that a big fun purchase like that might make me spiral into a manic episode (one of my worst manic symptoms is spending) but ive only recently started to pay attention to my symptoms and have no idea what my triggers are, or if i even have any. so my question is: would it be likely for me to trigger a manic episode this way or is it not a common thing for manic behaviors in a mixed episode to trigger manic episodes? or is it different for everyone and i should try and see how it goes?

Have you needed it for a while? Have you thought about why you need it now while you’re in this mixed stage? And then also question yourself about any other needs that you have and how long those can wait, if there something that you can hold off on. I have the same issue too, so I know I have to ask myself these things. I also converse with my boyfriend about large purchases as well, making sure that I’m not going to go down the rabbit hole. Good luck! ❤️

As for your question, a mixed episode is a combination of your highs and lows. You can still be just as manic, but you can also experience your depression at the same time.
