New to the app and coping with OCD

hey guys! literally just downloaded this app and am kind of figuring it out lmao, if it wasn’t obvious, I have OCD. I got diagnosed less than a year ago after having YEARS of other mental illness issues. Not meaning to type a paragraph as my intro message, but I was looking into anxiety one night around 8 months ago and saw OCD come up. That led to looking into childhood symptoms of OCD somehow, and I remember matching so many of the symptoms as a child I had to stop reading into it too much. Thankfully, Im managing well today. I have my little moments where I’ll spend like an hour organizing something small and simple but it’s whatever. How are ya’ll coping with it? When did you figure out you had it?

Found out when I was 13 about a month after I was hospitalized for anxiety/depression (that I learned was more than likely caused by the OCD). Totally relate to the childhood OCD thing, I look back and can’t believe that was my normal!

Oh about eight years old when I would wash my hands to the point of cracking and bleeding. And lost weight due to food related tics

When I was 9 I experienced very bad intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions and thoughts. I then got diagnosed with OCD that same year

There is a good app/organization called NOCD. They break down ocd into like 20 different sub types. Their resources are illuminating
