New Ways to Reduce Anxiety and Stress?

are there any new ways to reduce, anxiety/stress? I'm feeling burnt out on breathing, exercising, Journaling. I do self care, but I get stuck in the "what if" and the visual worries of financial problems.

Have you tried changing your 'what if's' to postive thoughts. I know that is easier said than done but seems worth a try at this point 😃

I use the worst case scenario, which comes naturally. Then I create best case scenario and most likely. The most likely is almost always how it ends up.

I worry from this, I’m a what if person too. I take it day by day. I also am getting back into my passion. Which is cooking and baking

Depending where you are/what’s going on, maybe try excusing yourself from the situation (if it’s a group setting or something) until you’ve calmed down. If it’s not a group situation, and the “what if’s” are running through your mind, try the distraction method. My therapist has been teaching me to distract myself with counting things or doing medical research (which is one of my favourite past-times) and it’s surprisingly been helping a lot. If for some reason you feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing is helping, maybe go to your doctor and let them know what’s going on. Ask about different medications that might help.

Others here provided good suggestions. One I would like to add is starting a new hobby. Something you have been curious about.

mindfulness has changed my life, as cliche as it sounds! i use guided meditation apps on my phone and they basically help me reconnect with my body and bring myself back to the present moment. it helps reduce a lot of my anxiety and stress. i’m a college student so i’m always overworked and stressed lol so i’m no stranger to that struggle
