I have found that yoga every day keeps my muscles less tight and in less pain. Heat therapy has also worked for me.

they have lidocaine roller sticks at walmart that help a TON. especially with those tender points that make it hard to get comfortable. they have some that smell like lavender too so you don’t have to use arthritis cream and smell like a nursing home

for the emotional regulation, i suggest therapy, even if it’s just solution based. this is a huge change in your life and you’ll want someone to talk to about it that can help you figure your feelings out!!

For pain management, I use medical cannabis and gabapentin. Gabapentin was huge for my joint and muscle pain long term, and for flares I use medical marijuana as needed. A lot of states will let you use it if you get your medical card even if it isn’t fully legalized in your state. Heat/ice work for me too!

Gabapentin has been helpful for me and I also have found some gentle massage to help. Finding clothes that are extra comfy on the bad days helps too.
