Noisy hotel room causing anxiety

my partner and I are visiting a new city and the hotel room is making noises and I can vaguely hear people outside the room on the other floors and what it doing things and it's making me do anxious. I don't know why.

When I feel overwhelmed, I like to unplug from the world. I just put my sound muffling headphones and listen to whatever relaxes me, and I get to disconnect. I get really anxious using public transportation, and I find that this helps me a lot.

yes those work great and a good suggestion! But if @unchaotic doesn’t have a pair they are called noise canceling. I have the Jabra Elite 75t true wireless earbuds. I wear them a lot and they are fairly discrete 😊

When I don't have headphones I use a white noise app on my phone and turn it up so I can't hear most of the noise that is happening. It helps me calm down and fall asleep
