Non RX remedies for IBS

IBS. I inherited it from my Mom. We have both tried a number of non RX remedies. My latest with positive results was taking Bactose. A 7 day regimen. Labelling says Effective fir 2-3 months.

Best thing I did for my IBS was to start using Konsyl. Only the original brand name. I've tried other supposedly alike that just irritated my IBS. My dad took it for 40 years. I have taken it for 20+ years. You have to start with small amount (1 tsp) and increase to where you are at your best. I was in constant pain before.

Also, the best thing I did for my IBS was to take Metamucil fiber. I believe it is similar to konsyl. They are both Psyllium Fiber. Hope you feel better

Metamucil did not work for me. It irritated and caused diarrhea.
