Numbness on Topamax: How Long Will It Last?

Anyone on Topamax, did you experience numbness in hands, feet, and even the face? If so, how long will it last? I’ve been on the med now consistently for almost a month and it just isn’t getting better. It gets to the point where I’m dragging my foot because it’s completely limp and it sometimes lasts for hours.

Im on it and did not experience it but my mom just started it and she is experiencing this side effect. Hands feet and face specifically. It’s been a few weeks and she is still experiencing it but she is still increasing up in doses. However once she’s been on a dose for a few days the feeling does seem to lessen, it just gets worse again as soon as she gets to her next dose increase.

It was a very bad med. For me. I thought my head was going to bust wide open. Had to stop taking them.

My experience was really bad with this med. It made me feel like my head was going to burst open with pain. Had to stop taking it.

I'm on topamax and get the tingling every now and then, even get it in my face. But for me it's the least evasive med the Drs has had me on I don't like gabapentin or anything else.
