That depends. For ADHD it took about a week from the point of suspicion to diagnosis. For what’s probably Ehlers-Danlos, it’s already been over a decade and I’m just now getting to see a specialist. It really does depend on what it is.

I started to have suspicions I had ADHD when I was around 13, but I wasn't taken seriously. It wasn't until I started IOP 6 weeks ago that my concerns started to be heard. So for me it took 10 years to get it. But my psychiatrist at the iop knew after one visit
