Dealing with Osteochondritis Dissecans: Will it Get Better Without Surgery?

Will my osteochondritis dissecans get better without surgery? I have it in the knee, and have been trying to limit physical activity as much as possible and follow doctors orders since my diagnosis a year ago. However, it still flares up--especially now that it's springtime. This has really started getting me down, as normal activities will eventually leave me with bad aching pain and a general depressed mood. How has healing been for others?

Really depends on what stage you are, For instance, I was diagnosed with OCD in both ankles stage 3-R + 4-L 8 years ago, but due to how far advanced I was (last stage is 5) there was no way of me going back to normal. As with many other conditions, it's a case by case basis
