Overcoming Anxiety with the Help of My Emotional Support Dog

I actually had a really amazing moment today and I wanted to share it with you guys. I hope this maybe also helps someone else or someone else knows the feeling I had today. Anyways, I was in the shower and was having a super bad anxiety attack. On the verge of panicking. I ended up turning on the super cold water which helped get me back to reality. Once I was back in my room my puppy who was sleeping immediately woke up and wouldn't leave me alone until I calmed down. she stayed there licking my face until my heart beat calmed. I honestly highly recommend an emotional support dog. sorry this is so long. it made my heart happy for the first time in a long time.

awe that’s super sweet! fun fact, cold water relaxes your mind and hot water relaxes your body. is it hard to get an emotional support dog?

honestly my dad brought her home when she was 4 weeks old and I bottle fed her. Her mom was stolen so I made an emotional connection with her in raising her. I got super lucky so I honestly don't know how hard it is.

It's just a matter of finding the right pet. Even a cat can be an emotional support animal if they help you! One of our cats always lays on my kid's chests when they are upset (they are Autistic and/or ADHD).

I got a service dog recommended to me for my ptsd and I want one but I can’t do it alone and I’m having issues doing so. Anyway, emotional support animals are awesome!

Pets are natural empaths. They can sense a need and provide comfort. Also cold water reduces anxiety quickly.

❤️I love this so much. Moose is my Emotional Support Dog and he always makes my day better no matter how much trouble he gets into.

I would recommend a thousand times over, getting a pet. I know for a fact that my cats got me thru one of the darkest and worst times of my life, when nothing else seemed to. I believe with everything in me, that pets have a power to connect and help heal us, and vice versa.
