Overcoming Social Anxiety: Talking to Strangers

So my psychologist suggested me to talk to strangers that I meet in public. To grow in confidence and then it will be easier for me to talk. I find it difficult but I know it will get easier by time I'm trying that just talking about; asking the directions of a place product information/ product availability asking about topping up my oyster card

Trying to be social is not easy but I work in customer service so I talk to a lot of people. It is not that bad

saying "it's not that bad" is dismissive of their struggle. What is easy for you may not be easy for SerenaS.

I get it and understand completely. I remember my first jobs, how anxious they made me, and how overestimated I became when I couldnt handle it. I've had breakdowns at work because of it. Perhaps finding interest groups might be helpful for you. That way you're talking to people that are like you or like the same things as you, and then you'll be sure to feel less awkward when you have something in common. That's how I started, and I built up overtime from there! Good luck, I believe in you !!
