Honestly I just started metformin and I'm worried it won't work cause I never heard it did work ya know. But I take it manly for Hypoglycemia. Anyways, I do not suggest birth control it made it so worse for me but everyone is different. It also cause my asthma to get worse when I was on birth control and haven't had my period for 3 months

I'm in the same boat I've been on Metformin since July and it has done nothing but make my blood sugar drop all the time. I've been looking in to Myo-Inositol & D-Chiro Inositol alot of people would rather take it over Metformin. But as I am definitely talk to your doctor before you do anything

Try researching herbal supplements, or a local vitamin shop (my local one is very very helpful) might be able to suggest something, based on the symptoms you are dealing with. I take a supplement with several ingredients that help with my menopausal changes.
