Honestly its real hard to lose weight with pcos i tried really hard to lose weight but it never ended good I mean I had an eating disorder for years but didn't really get thin our bodys like to hold on to body fat to protect our uterus and we hold most of our weight in our bellys anyway but yes you can lose weight with pcos but im afraid that we might not ever get that flat stomach look we want we have to simply learn to love our bodys they way they are hope this helped stay strong ❤

In my experience, most PCOS professionals are more concerned with us maintaining a steady weight rather than rapidly gaining/losing. Unfortunately, a lot of undereducated “professionals” use this as an excuse to fatshame and whatnot. Something that has helped me a lot is Metformin. Metformin helps with the insulin resistance that comes with PCOS in most cases, making it easier to feel more balanced at least.

I have Hypothyroidism and PCOS so losing weight is extremely hard but gaining it is horribly fast. My OB prescribed me Metformin which is used for diabetes and also for PCOS. It helps with weightloss as well. I lost a good few pounds when I first started. I hope this helps.

honestly the only thing that made a noticeable change for me was completely cutting out sugar and carbs+ gallon of water daily. so strict but it was worth it for me at the time

my mother was very very obese and ended up going through a procedure called gastric bypass to help her lose weight. it essentially closes off the majority of the stomach so that it holds less food, so by nature you’ll eat less. she cut all breads and pasta from her diet and walks over 6 miles daily. it’s been about 15 months since her surgery and she’s lost well over 100 pounds. dropped probably 9 pant sizes. that’s what worked for her. the surgery is really only for if you need a drastic change.
