Pelvic Floor Issues After Vaginal Births: Seeking Advice

I had two babies vaginally. I wasn’t advised to do anything to repair my pelvic floor. Ever since I have had shooting ovary pain (no diagnosis but it’s infrequent), pain during sex (no diagnosis) and something under my ribs that feels like a hernia when I stretch in a certain way (no diagnosis, symptoms are worsening. Applying pressure helps alleviate). Doctors haven’t diagnosed any of these issues which started after the babies. And as I age these things are getting worse. Everything feels like it’s dropped to my low belly. Muscles in my abdominal wall seem to be weakening. I am wondering if there is anyone here who has had similar issues? I guess I need to exercise to alleviate these things but I don’t know where to start. What kinds of exercises will even help? Could some exercise make it worse?

I’ve had the same feeling ~ like a hernia below the breast bone. I describe it as a muscle spasm (not sure though). It’s when I twist or move a certain direction only. I stretch back the opposite direction & that often alleviates it. I never thought of it being connected with child bearing, but you may be onto something. A friend thinks it’s related to disc issues (back).

I have that weird muscle issue too! I thought it was just me. Even if I try to stomach exercises, it makes it spasm more! My kids are older (19&22) so for me it wouldn't be because of having kids.

I've never had kids, I'm 54 and have that same muscle thing below my ribs, feels like a Charlie horse.

Exactly~ like a Charlie horse. It freaks out my kids & hubby when it hits me b/c of where the pain is located. They thought it was a heart attack.
