I got mine in 5th grade. Maybe have a talk with the school nurse or a female teacher you trust about reproductive health unless you feel like your parents will talk to you about it. I’d more than happy to help answer questions but I feel like in person help would be better.

Totally understand this. I only had one period a year. December 12th of my sophomore year and junior year. Then no periods until I took birth control pills.

Forth or fifth grade I think I started puberty young. I actually didn’t know there was an opposite side for those with pcos. I’ve had periods last as long as 6 months before diagnosis 😕

I got my first period freshman year of college when I was put on birth control. The only reason I found out I had pcos was because I needed to get a physical done to join track and field and one of the questions is "when was your last period" I said "never" and the nurse basically scared me into getting blood work done
