Physical pain from emotional stress - what's happening?

Does anyone else feel physical pain because of emotional stress? If I upset someone and get yelled at - my chest hurts. I get very real pain in the left side of my chest and my left arm will go numb. It will last at least a few hours. When I get really depressed or cry a lot, my chest hurts then too. I'm in my 20s and it happens like twice a week- or I find myself faced with something super stressful twice a week. It's almost like my stress is killing me. Does anyone else experience this? What is it? What do I do?

I used to get chest pain with depression. It helps to hold a stuffed animal or something to your chest. I have a heated one that I use. For anxiety I do the same thing but I put the plush in the freezer. Taking deep breaths may also help
