Seeking Advice on Septoplasty, Turbinate Reduction, and Rhinoplasty

I am seeing the plastic ENT surgeon next week to discuss a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and rhinoplasty (to repair a collapsed nasal valve). Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, or recommendations?

Here's my experience with inferior turbinate hypertrophy : I've seen an ENT doctor/surgeon back in October-December; had a turbinate reduction/Turbinate Cautery mid December. I had a lot of anxiety but it's not that bad! I was given some liquid up my nose plus local anesthesia with Epinephrine (adrenaline). So at first, I was spasming the heck out. But I managed to calm down with the surgeon's help. And I must say that was a fun experience lol. Anyways, the surgeon used a cauterizer to reduce the size of the blood vessels. No pain at all! You will feel some pressure but don't worry about any pain! But I would warn you that the aftermath of the surgery/procedure is awful because you'll basically smell your burnt tissues and your nose will be sensitive. (I couldn't stop sneezing my head off for a week!) But I can breathe a lot better now! And it made me very happy about how well and comforting my ENT and his nurses were to me. Even told me funny stories while operating to calm my nerves. If you're feeling fear, don't be! Take deep breaths! Count to 10. You'll be okay! I hope things go well for you! 🤗 ❤️

how are you now? Almost after two years? I have turbinate hypertrophy. Just wondering if surgery would be a good option..

I keep hearing about a condition or side effect of turbinate reduction called ENS (Empty Nose Syndrome). Apparently a lot of folks have this issue after the procedure and have warned others about this possibility. It has me questioning whether I want to proceed or not.
