Does PMDD Affect Eating Disorders?

If you experience it; does your Eating Disorder get worse during PMDD? is that part of the "dysmorphic"? I get obsessive about my weight right before my period starts.

I’m not diagnosed with any eating disorder But that makes sense for me as I criticize myself these days much more

Yes, I get super paranoid and have horrible body dysmorphia… I’ve started to take a supplement called Dim this past year… game changer. I have a very noticeable difference when I don’t take it versus when I do. I would talk to your physician or naturopath before starting it because it does level out estrogens, but it’s readily available and affordable.

Raichu, thank you! (Also love the name 😁) I'll definitely be looking into Dim; i get really paranoid too and really easily angry and I'm never like that outside of the time of month

Wow I feel so less alone. Yes my dysmorphia is terrible during my PMDD spells. I will body check a lot and some days really cut down what I eat. What I have found to help is 1. Wear outfits that week that make u feel like a queen. 2. During the days its bad, I go back and look at the best pictures of myself and remind myself that the girl in that picture is the same girl here. I then remind myself why I thought I looked good that image. It’s a small thing and sometimes it helps.

Jewels18 - I'm so sad to hear you deal with this too; but I'm glad to know we aren't alone in this! That's a really good idea about the outfit and pictures! I'm going to try something similar and maybe it will reprogram my reaction during my lows. ❤️ I hope things get better for you 💕
