Positive for HSV 2 but No Symptoms: What Does It Mean?

I tested positive for hsv 2 and have never had a symptom. What does this mean?

I'm in the same boat. All the info online seems to be contradictory so I have no clue. I've never had an outbreak or any type of symptoms at all an neither has my bf but clearly one of us passed it tonthe other. Supposedly you can be fully asymptomatic and half the people say you can still pass it the other half say you can't.. its really frustrating

if you’ve never had an outbreak OR one that you’ve noticed, you’re a lot less likely to pass it on. However, it’s not impossible. But very very unlikely!

I'm w u guys. Read my post. NEVER had an outbreak and I've known probably close 2 20yrs. Have y'all ever had Mononucleosis?

Drs have told me unless u have an outbreak u cannot pass it. U have 2 have open sores. The infection is in the sores.

this is false. You CAN pass it without the sores, however if you have never had an active outbreak, or had one you’ve noticed, this means your viral shedding is low & you’re very unlikely to pass it on!
