Possible Endometriosis Diagnosis

So my grandmother and mother both have endometriosis, I have not got the surgery to be officially diagnosed but my mom, and doctor say it's more than likely with my symptoms, everyone else says I don't have it unless I get the surgery.

The surgery is the only way to diagnose. It isn't too bad if you get somebody trained. Nancy's nook on Facebook is great for finding doctors

Yes, the only way to diagnose is with surgery. Not that you don’t have it. Endo doesnt show up on mri, CT scans, ultrasounds, etc. so that’s why they have to do the surgery to diagnose (although some doctors don’t)

Some doctors don’t do surgery. Some treat based on symptoms and act like you have it. But, I’d look around for a trained professional that cares about what you are comfortable with, that being said stay away from Nacy’s Nook. Not good people in that group. ONLY use it to find doctors, not advice.

the doctors treating with medicine is only a bandaid. Excision is the gold standard for actual relief. Some of the medicines have awful side effects.
